My and my friend bought two of these backpacks, he bought the black and i bought the olive green, we have looked at many backpacks at a few different sporting goods stores, walmart and other major stores. We found most decent hiking backpacks were around 100 dollars, some were a little closer to what we wanted to pay for a pack, 60, 70 dollars, and those were nice, some were really nice. We didnt like the idea of purchasing something like this online because of the material and padding, we cant feel those things online, but for 40 dollars, and what the bag looked like in the pictures, we were both willing to take the chance. These bags are everything we could ask for as far as quality for price. Lots of room, very tall deep main storage pocket. Two side pockets that are reasonably sized. It is a simple bag. Lots of space, has a lot of storage, does not have any of the separators in the main storage area, but both me and my friend find that we like the simplicity. The padding for the lower mid section has excellent padding, very comfortable and surprisingly thick, not insanely thick but pretty damn thick for 40 bucks. Very comfortable on the back, we both love this purchase and we have no regrets, for the price you cant beat it. Of course we do drool over the more pricey hiking packs and one day when we are more seasoned hikers we will upgrade, but we are confident that we could always find a use for this pack. If i could give a 10 star review on this i would, best bang for buck if your starting a hiking hobby with a friend or solo mission, this may sound a little formal, i obviously dont use this vocabulary in my day to day but i just want to leave an honest good review on this, not a top of the line pack by any means but again for the price i would recommend it to anyone!
