The quality of this backpack was something I worried about but when it arrived I was pleasantly surprised. It’s quite roomy inside and the perfect size for my 8 year old son who just started 2nd grade (he’s 4’2” and lanky). He’s in love with it too. The side pockets could be a tad bigger, but personally it’s not an issue as my son doesn’t really use those. It has a roomy front zipper pocket as well which comes in handy so smaller items aren’t lost in the main compartment. The main compartment also has a back pocket for a laptop if that’s important for you!
